This is officially my new favourite build. The first of two matching 30″ scale children’s guitars, I call it the ‘Bratocaster’. The hardware is all fairly stock, and the body is around about a 60% scale of the basic Strat shape, in basswood. I imagine they’d be fine from ages 4 to about 9 or 10, at which point if they’re still interested in playing, they will graduate to a full-size. So even though they probably only have a shelf-life of about 5 years, they’re quite the bargain at £199 a pop.
