My second Derelict Refit, this was once a bright red cheap Chinese strat copy. It has been ‘Frankencastered’ to within an inch of its life, just for a bit of fun. Refitted with a white pearl pickguard, it has changed to an SSH pickup format, with two Epiphone single coils (taken from an Epiphone Les Paul SE) under chrome-effect plastic covers, and a Korean G&B Humbucker in the bridge (the one good one taken off the Westfield SG). It has had its old trem cavity filled in with epoxy resin, and now has a Gibson-style bridge and Bigsby-style tremolo system. It does, however, have pretty good quality locking tuners.
It has been sanded back and resprayed with a light pink powder coat, with a few dents and dings that “relic” it, showing through either to bare wood or to the previous red paint job. I’m just waiting on some pink control knobs to finish the look.
