DG015: “Steampunk Beachcomber” (original design)

‘Steampunk’ is the very first of a design (‘the Beachcomber’) inspired by all those guitar makers out there who tried to re-design the Telecaster and/or Les Paul, who ended up sorta merging the two together to make a single-cutaway design all of their own. This is my version of that. As befits the ‘Derelict’ name, the ‘Beachcomber’ is not only built from a piece of driftwood oak salvaged from Ainsdale beach, but will also feature vintage aged bronze hardware – most probably two humbuckers and a Gibson-style bridge and tailpiece, with locking tuners.

The first driftwood oak Beachcomber is in production now (March 2022) and is slated for completion in May 2022.
