DG002: “We Shall, We Shall Overplum” (Telecaster style)

Description

This Telecaster was hewn by my own fair hand from a big lump of mahogany, but uses a ‘donor’ neck (from an Ibanez I bought off a French teenager named Eloïse for €15 on Facebook Marketplace). Originally she was going to be called ‘The Fuchsia Ain’t What It Used To Be”, but my paint sprayer got contaminated and I blasted a load of purple sparkle paint on top of a bright pink undercoat. I liked the new look so much I decided to keep it.

She’s loaded with a (very loud) Seymour Duncan Quarterpound Telecaster lipstick pickup in the neck, and a Vintage ’57 from the same supplier in the bridge, and flew across the Atlantic just in time to be a surprise 50th birthday present arrival in Florida.
