The original NN9, the final guitar headed to Kenya for Elle’s Guitars, was to have been a case of ‘and here’s one I made earlier’. But it turns out that one has found a permanent home already, rather than just a brief period of fostering as I had originally believed.
So I had to quickly turn around something new to make up the expected nine, and have cobbled this together from parts and a new tulipwood body. It’s actually going to have a gold bridge and gold control plate, but I was just checking everything fitted correctly.
NN9 is this paprika red standard Telecaster with gold hardware and a Nairobi National Park pickguard.
Final QA on the others is all done, so I just need to put this one together and then get the bubblewrap and boxes out – by my calculations nine fully-packaged guitars is going to completely fill the back of my car for the trip down to Sunbury-on-Thames to put these babies in the container destined for Nairobi!
