It’s been a bit quiet here of late. There’s been quite a lot of ‘hinterlife’ going down, but work has been plodding slowly on, just with nothing much to announce. That’s about to change.
First up this week is DG001 “Fried Green Tomatoes At The Humbucker Café”, my very first Derelict-branded build. Because of the ol’ lifetime ‘back to base’ guarantee, it came in for a change of pickups. The ‘vintage voiced’ humbuckers weren’t really working for anyone, so got switched out for much louder ‘modern voiced’ ones. Took the opportunity to switch up the pickguard from plain white to pearl, and a few other dressings too. It’s now VERY LOUD, about 20% louder using the same settings on my little practice amp than literally anything else I have in my collection at the moment.
