Nine guitars for the ‘Elle’s Guitars’ charitable initiative in nine days, day three. Thanks to a fault in the tremolo block, I nearly had to unveil them out of order and do #4 today. Fortunately, my repair job took me less time than expected. So here we have Nairobi Nine #3 – the Fallout Nuka Quantum strat. Another bag of bits, this one even needed a new neck, so I’m not sure how much of it could honestly be called the original donor guitar any more.
Inspired by the glow-in-the-dark cola from the ‘Fallout’ series of games (and soon-to-be Amazon Prime TV series), it sports a four-colour finish that is the closest I could manage to a ‘liquid effect’. And yes, it glows in the dark (a bit) – one of the colours of blue is luminenscent paint.
Otherwise, standard strat hardware, with quite a nice aged copper trem block.
