Just wanted to shout out one of my clients, Gary from Aberdeen, who has not only bought two handbuilt guitars from me this year, but most importantly, he also bought ‘Flutterbyes’ this summer. ‘Flutterbyes’ is a rustic woodburned handbuilt Telecaster I built as a charity raffle guitar on behalf of my charity side-project Elle’s Guitars.

After the raffle closed, both the first two winners drawn wanted it to go back on the market to raise more money. So I finally put it up for sale the same day as Gary ordered his second guitar from me (a blue sparkle Treblemaker Telecaster), and Gary bought it too on the understanding that it would be gifted as an ‘Elle’s Guitar’ to a lucky recipient. The time has come, and although I missed the post today (doh!), it’s soon set to be trundling off to Kent to a young lady named Florence, who is on the autistic spectrum and who finds music a useful way to connect to others. We hope she gets plenty of enjoyment from ‘Flutterbyes’, and can’t wait to hear the music she makes on it!
Elle’s Guitars is having a bit of a donation and nomination drive at the moment – we have more guitars to give away than we have recipicients at the moment, and so would love to hear from you. Head on over to EllesGuitars.Org now for more details!
