Deez nuts – the nuts for the oddly-sized pots on this Les Paul finally arrived. Whilst every ‘Elle’s Guitar’ is designed to have a free spirit and be quirky and individual, I thought I’d best include another ‘grown up’. This Les Paul is the most complicated three-into-one mismatched jigsaw I’ve done yet. A kit body was combined with the neck and pickups from one donor and the wiring loom and tuners from another. It’s stained ebony with a matt black back and mirrored pickguard, with a discreet nod to its new home – that’s a Kenyan Air Force roundel as the rear switch cover.
