With one eye on the Cost of Living Crisis™ it is time to start my summer sale! In total 9 guitars must go to make room for new projects – I’m listing three today, three tomorrow and three on Monday.
Today’s haul includes a refitted electro-acoustic in shocking pink, an SG with very loud and high quality Seymour Duncan P90 pickups and a Jazz bass with a stunning natural swamp ash gloss finish. Sunday will see two original Telecasters and an Epiphone Les Paul refit listed, and Monday will be a further two Telecasters and a Firebird. Everything is heavily discounted, from £99 to a maximum of £250, and will go on eBay next weekend if there are no takers.
DB001 is a budget Fender Jazz bass copy built from a very lovely piece of unroasted swamp ash, with a Chinese-made neck and Korean G&B Jazz pickups. The high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer is about as perfect as I’ve ever managed – it was the first time I ever applied one to a natural wood finish, so probably just beginner’s luck! £199 to you.
DR001 is the cherry red Westfield SG refit equipped with new locking tuners and two Seymour Duncan Phatcat P90 pickups. It’s reduced to go for less than the purchase price of those two pickups new, at just £199. It is LOUD, the combo of shape and raucosity would make this a great rock/metal guitar.
DR003 is an acoustic Jubilee special! A repaired and refitted no-name Chinese Ovation-style fibre-glass moulded-back electro-acoustic, it has received a new set of easy-to-use locking tuners, a new internal pickup, and a pink gloss spray finish. There’s a Sex Pistols sticker on the front, as it’s been named “God Save The Queen (No Fuchsia)” and will be rocking in the free world out of here for just £99.
